
The President also said that Argentina has become “the counter model in a world in which financial capital and its derivates became masters and now want to punish us”. On referring to the demand by vulture funds before the New York courts, the President said that “it is inadmissible the recent ruling against a country that restructured its sovereign debt with a 93 percent acceptance by its creditors and that is duly meeting its commitments”. She added that the ruling, issued by New York Judge Thomas Griesa, is of a total “inequity, because it ignores the majority of the bond holders” that have accepted the Argentine debt swaps.
